what would you choose?

Me...I would make pain medicine in delivery unavailable for expectant mothers under 18. (except in the case of a c-section of course)

For fathers....he must have to pay for the whole process....with no insurance. First payment due upon delivery and the balance due within the first 2-3 years.

You play....you pay! Just my humble opinion

  1. honestly, i don't think your deterrents will work.  a person doesn't know how much childbirth hurts so refusing them meds won't help, it'll just punish.

and a teen father doesn't have any money, so that wouldn't work either.  you can't take what someone doesn't' have

the movie "the miracle of life" was a good enough deterrent for me.  i mean, i wasn't going to be a teen mother anyway but that movie really put the nail in the head, it was awful.

frankly, i'd like people to have to have contraceptive shots or something (that have no side effects other than not allowing pregnancy) which will stop when they're 21. before then they'd have to petition for the right to have children.  and have REAL convincing arguments.

  2. have you seen the new tv show Baby Borrowers ? i think something like that would help a lot , becuase they get to see first hand its not all cuddle and kisses its p**p and puke and crying and it doesnt get any better as they get older

  3. sorry but think your opinion are silly. everyone deserves the same amount of care no matter what their cicrumstances.

  4. I'm sure they will soon know how tough it is personally if teens do have a child then they should raise it and not their leave the job to their parents ...let them get up and see to their own child

  5. invent a metal panties with a combination lock on the front. Worse come the worse they can only have anal s*x LOL

  6. I think thats a bit harsh. Some teenage mothers are very good mothers. But i think they should teach something other than abstinence in schools. I live in TN and thats all they teach and use STD scare tactics and it doesnt work. They should teach alternatives to s*x, such as mutual masterbation and oral ( and how to make/ get oral dams). There is no way to stop teens from having s*x other than banning them from ever leaving the house and keeping a 24-7 watch on them. When they feel its time, they do it. And yes, accidents happen. I think the main reason is bc forms of birth control arent available to them so they dont use them. Health classes/ s*x ed should teach proper condom usage and resources on how to get birth control. In a lot of stores here, you have to be 18 to purchase condoms that are quality, but anyone can go to the health department and get subpar condoms that break easily. I have known several 'accidents' that have happened this way. My mother had to tell me about birth control bc no one else did. And not all mothers are as open as mine, alot of parents believe that their baby is too good to give it up before marriage so they dont tell their kids anything except to not have s*x "because the lord says its wrong before marriage." Then an accident happens at a high school football victory party and the young teen mommy doesnt know whos the father bc she was with 3 of the players that night. Yeah seen it happen. Religion, STD scare tactics and not giving information are not deterrent. Well-informed teens prevent pregnancy bc they know what to do. wrap it up and take your pill everyday at the same time. Thats what they should be taught.

  7. I think that's a little bit harsh.

The best way to do it, is for them to have to pay for their treatment. Not have pain relief taken away. The father should then have to either accomadate for him, the mother and the baby with his own money, or he should have to pay for the child completely.

Both ways the kids are a bit buggerd. How many 14 year olds have the money for that?

They would also not be allowed to be accomidated in a council house, until the age of 22, and their mothers should have to put up with them.

That'll make them teach their kids about the importance of pregnancy and contreception.

  8. I like your ideas... but then there would be more mothers and father that are not together. (least i think) I think that as the mother of the children... we should be able to choose if they are spayed or neutered. (yes i am talking humans) I have a 2 year old... i would love to take him into the doctor and ask them to spay him. it would mean the world to know that there is not going to be another child in his circumstance born into the world. (he has a donor that dont wanna be in his life, once i was pregnant the donor began to hit me and such... and now he wants nothing to do with him.... no child support or help... nothing. so... yea... enough about me)

but i think we as mothers should be able to choose.

I think that teenagers should be more educated... I know i did not have s*x the first time till i was 18. so... i knew better. (i was scared of my mom and dad!) i had my son at 23.

  9. Yes, because taking away the little support teens have will definitely help them get past their inevitable struggles!

    /sarcasm off.

  10. i like tha payment option.

i'd like to deter girls by ripping a child through their cervix without it being their child to take home sop they can feel the pain, but not possible...

i think we should take away all the options for pregnant teens.  I am a right to choose advocate in certain situations but i don't think that teens being irresponsible with their bodies should have easy outs...

  11. i know plenty of people who are just fine being teenage parents most of the time its not planned but it happens

  12. No abortions, they are not a form of contraception.

    Maj

  13. Wow you are really harsh. Ummmmm, a deterrant for teen pregnancy should be motherhood in itself and unprotected s*x brings deterrants such as HIV etc and there are and always will be pregnant teens.

It's a nasty thing to say, I dont condone teen pregnancy either because I know how difficult it is to have a child at a young age from personal experience, but punishment is stupid, they are going to be going through a lot as it is, they do not need to be punished as they will realise many difficulties once they have their babies.

  14. I'd make it deadly to have s*x under the age of 21
