  1. I have cats, so I would have to resort to cat food, then cats.

  2. heck yes I would. It isnt like i havent eaten my share as a kid raised around hunting dogs. Heck my uncle had dog food in a fridge and we used to eat it buy the hand full. It wasnt best tasteing though. But some of my cousins liked it the rest did it to fit in or make money in bets. I remember eating dog bones for $10 and bback then that was alot of money. Its never harmed me before. As for wet food, its ok and I understand in the depression and other times of money problems people are know to use it to put in spagetti and make hamburgers ect. Good luck though. Eat what you have!

  5. Of course and the dog too.

  6. I DID TODAY,JUST  UNDER ANOTHER LABEL CALLED MR.GOUDAS CORNED BEEF,

  7. Yes if i had to i would eat human flesh. The will to survive in some is beyond limit,s. I would hope that i never have to but i am sure that i would do what ever was necessary to live.

  8. A person never really knows what they would do to survive until they are put in that position.  However, I know I wouldn't have a hard time eating dog food.

  9. Yep, I'd eat anything if I was hungry enough. Anything to survive long enough to eat good again...

  10. Sure would!  And, I'd probably search for grubs, bugs and all sorts of things we consider gross.

  11. Dog food sure.  I would eat tree bark if I had to!

P.s.  I already had dog food before.  Not bad.

  12. Dog food vs. death?  I'll take the dog food.

  13. Yes, h**l, I'd eat the dog.

  14. h**l yea i'd eat ANYTHING!! food is food dats food no time to become picky when you're lifes on the line. i mean how bad could it be??.....

  15. ROFLAMO... sad but funny TRUE story...

My boyfriend at the time left for work and my two dogs were barking their heads off in the temporary set up we made in the garage. I went out there to see if they had been fed that morning, and the door closed on me.

Keep in mind that I said morning, I still had on my night gown, we were in a BRAND new neighborhood where houses were still being built beside us, I was alone, and in a hurry to shut the pups up.  AND the door locked behind me!!!!

And NO I did not have a phone or cell phone on me or in the garage, nor did I have a key anywhere near me or outside, and no I had not even had breakfast yet. The job my boyfriend was head chef at a restaurant but he had an all day and night shift that DAY!!!

Needless to say at that point I was cold and hungry... after about 5 hours I tried the kibble and it was the blandest, hard tasteless. I had to stay in the garage till thank God he came home for a late lunch break and let me in the house.  I don't I ever cried so hard in my life!!!

  16. yes, yum

  17. i just thought about that this morning... yeah i would but you have to save some for doggy

  18. Yes, but not the wet kind eww. Well maybe, if your hungry enough and want to stay alive then I guess I'd eat nearly anything. No bugs though. Thats where I draw the line!!!!!

  19. Did you know that animal products which are unfit for human consumption are allowed to be sold as pet food? Low quality sources of meat (animal by-products) and contaminated meats which are rejected by the U.S.D.A. are then sold to the pet food companies at bargain prices. To further reduce costs, the bulk of dry kibble is made using grains. Many grains are difficult for our dogs to digest resulting in excessive gas and poor stools. Using a cheap manufacturing process called extrusion (high temperatures to liquefy food and air to puff it up like pop corn) results in a processed, over- cooked food that further reduces its digestibility and palatability. Remember that our dogs are natural predators that want to eat real food. It is time to kick the kibble habit!

    The bottom line:

People have adopted a fast food culture for feeding their dogs. “Dog food” is cheap to buy, requires no preparation and is sold everywhere. Glorified ad campaigns and endorsements by the pet food industry help to make it an easy sell. Unknowingly, we have sacrificed our pets’ good heath for convenience and low cost.

Better not eat your dog either !!!

  20. Dog food?  If you're in survival mode, you'll eat the dog itself.

  21. yup, i tasted the biscuits once, they tasted like cardboard though.

  22. But of course! I think anyone would eat just about anything to survive, if put into that drastic a situation. I mean, I've been a vegetarian for 15 years now, but I think if I were in the same situation as the Donner party, I'd end up developing a taste for the main ingredient in Soylent Green too!

  23. To live? You bet buddy, I am to live.

Once at work we had a potluck and one guy turns and holds out a plastic bin with cheese popcorn in it and said "Dude you have GOT to try these!"  and while they tasted extremely stale they werent awful... and he turned the container around and it was "PUP-corn"!  He must have got 50 people to do that, everyone but the plant manager I think.

But in survival?   Bring on that cheesy pupcorn!

  24. i would eat the dog first.

  25. Only if absolutely necessary. I've tried it before, and wow, it's disgusting. I guess if I had to eat it to survive, then I would. I mean, anything would probably taste good in a survival situation lol

  26. I think I would at one time  to absolutely survive but not now  with all the Pet-food being recalled.
