If you had to choose Bush or Putin as World Leader, who would you choose?

Bush,  hands down. I dislike Bush's policies, but in comparison to Russia, i'd rather have incompetence and freedom over comptence and tyranny

Bush, in a heartbeat.

Because he comes from a background where democracy and fair play are the order of the day.  Putin grew up under the communist system.  Political assassination was considered normal, as were other practices.  Back in the day, Leonid Brezhnev, premier of the USSR, didn't understand why Richard Nixon was in so much trouble at home.  Breaking in to the offices of his opponents was just a normal practice to him.

Bush, of course. He might be far from perfect but, at least under him, there's little risk of being injected with a sedative or 'disappearing' for daring to say anything controversial about the government.

Bush lead the country based on his failed "compassionate conservatism" and relied on his friends Cheney and Rumsfeld to tell him what to do.  His actions as president caused most of the world to dislike the US even more.

Putin on the other hand is a criminal genius.  As the former KGB agent in Eastern Germany, this man speaks German like a native, speaks good English and ruled Russia by himself, de facto as a dictator.  His actions outside of Russia caused most of the world, and especially the former Soviet Republics, to dislike Russia even more.

I would not want to chose between either men.  I'd rather they both get sent back to Mars.

Bush. Because he respects the constitution and the freedom of the common people. Putin is an old communist spook who thinks totalitarian government is the only way to go.
