Which one would you choose?

A. Schenck v. United States and Brandenburg v. Ohio.

B. New York Times v. Sullivan and Hustler Magazine, Inc v. Falwell.

C. Roth v. United States and Miller v. California.

D. New York Times v. United States and Richmond Newspapers, Inc. v. Virginia.

E. Edwards v. South Carolina and Dennis v. United States.

F. Lemon v. Kurtzman and Rosenberger v. University of Virginia.

G. Texas v. Johnson and United States v. O’Brien.

H. Tinker v. Des Moines School District and Bethel School District v. Fraser.

I. Wisconsin v. Yoder and United States v. Lee.

J. Stanley v. Georgia and New York v. Ferber.

Evaluate the rights and responsibilities that the Constitution gives you as an American citizen, beyond the rights listed in the Bill of Rights. Why did each case need to be heard and interpreted by the Supreme Court? Are the cases consistent with each other? How does the Supreme Court’s decision in each case continue to affect the rights of American citizens today? What would have been the effect if the Court had ruled the other way?nley v. Georgia and New York v. Ferber.

I have to write a paper (1500-2450 wds.) answering these questions. NEED HELP.

  1. I think the questions should be pretty straightforward to answer after you read the cases.  I think all of the listed cases present important issues and provide some interesting background facts.  I don't think you can go wrong picking any of them.

If I had to choose though, I'd probably pick cases with at least one dissent.  The dissent provides details about the opposing view and usually some other interesting background, and should be useful for some of the questions you're asked.

The full text of all of these cases, including very useful summaries, can be found at the link below.
