I don't think anyone suggested that the bearer of the American crown would or should be an absolute monarch. I like the idea of us joining other English-speaking nations in the Commonwealth, though. And that means accepting Elizabeth II as our queen.

I'd have to say..Obama. And if he refused to take the crown, I would step up and take the title of King. You know. Just so that no one else would be forced to. I'm doing other Americans a favor by taking that loathsome job of absolute monarch..
