If you had to live your life as a musical, which one would it be?

I mean dont get me wrong, I AM a hip and happening young woman - I just happen to LOVE a good musical. So it got me thinking...if you had to live your life within a musical (or any movie if you cant think of a musical - sheesh...) which one would it be? If there is any particular reason then please comment.

I would choose to be Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, that old Cinderella/rags to riches/ugly duckling thing and then falling in love, ahh maybe I am just a hopeless romantic at heart. Admittedly the first part of your life wouldnt have been too great - homelessness, begging on the streets, living hand to mouth, the black plague...but all of that aside, it would have to be My Fair Lady.

For those of you that dont know too many musicals how about Singin' in the Rain (who wouldnt want to be that debonaire, cool Fred Astaire dancing and splashing in the street?), Moulin Rouge, The King and I, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma!, Beauty and the Beast, Funny Girl, A Star is Born...the list goes one. Come on, pick one!

And for those that dont think this IS GWS related well then listen to this...the My Fair Lady synopsis is outlined on one movie site as being about "a misogynistic and snobbish phonetics professor agrees to a wager that he can take a flower girl and make her presentable in high society".

Beauty and the Beast. I love that fact that it shows that even when something is so unexpected - the beast and belle falling in love - it is actually possible. besides that i'd love to be living in a musical that has dancing household objects and funky music!
