if the scenario was that I had to bet everything I owned or myself or my family would be killed, i would divide it into 38 equal stacks and place them on every single number including zero and double zero. I could do this nearly infinitely, as every time I would make 38 equal bets, and win back 35 or more, then I could divide the 35 back by 38, and keep doing it.

If the scenario was that I was dirt poor, headed to prison or bankruptcy, and I could either gamble everything I had or lose it all anyway, I would go red.

You actually posed an interesting question:  Roulette is a "random event" game.  In other words the wheel doesn't

remember what happened on the last event or the last twenty events- so forget about tracking the wheel. What it comes down to is a coin flip, red/black, odd/even, it doesn't matter

so why not flip a coin?  If it comes up heads bet red, tails black or the other way around if you prefer.
