lundqvist, dubinsky, gomez

the rangers have been rebuilding for the past decade, they just keep getting sucked in to paying old players who were good in their prime too much (jagr, shanahan, drury, straka) and they will add more to this list on july 1st

Lundqvist, Avery, and Gomez.

Lundqvist is one of the best goalies in the game, Avery provides the snarl and agitation, and Gomez is the two-way player and leader figure for the younger players who has previous Cup-winning experience.

Edit: Wow, just saw the article about the Rangers possibly ditching Avery. I guess I'd go with Nigel Dawes to provide the grit for the Rangers if Avery goes.

D - Bobby Sanguinetti - will QB the PP for years to come

G - Henrik Lundqvist - one of the top netminders in the league

Marc Staal - with age he's only going to get better, and he's already proven he's top notch.

Dubinsky - Not a lot of flash, just a great work ethic with results.

im sorry but gomez and drury cant impact a team like jagr can. we saw jagr carry this team the last 3 seasons in away that no other nhler could do. staal is a great dman, and will play a more offensive role in his 2nd year. i like the cherapanov and sanguinetti name drops but they are 'current players'. and lunquist is a given.
