  1. blue.

  2. Love that blue!  It is easy to live with, at least for me.  My sibling chose red, and had a multitude of disturbances over a lifetime.  I would never want to live with red.

  3. blue, relaxing and calming

  4. Blue - far more peaceful.

  5. Still depends on the shade. A bright blue would be more stressful to me than a rich red. However, a bright red would be more stressful

    than a pale blue.

Either way, after two hours of staring at *any* colour I'm going to hate it. I can't afford to hate blue, I have too many blue clothes. So red it is.

  6. Blue because it reminds you of soothing things like the sky, the ocean.

I think sitting and staring at a red wall would probably drive me to thoughts about blood, h**l, death, heat.  Interestingly, not valentines and love. REDRUM!!

  7. blue I like it more

  8. blue, but a blue kind of color like soft, like the one of the sky.....

  9. Red. If I'm in a room that is painted blue for more than 5min i get very aggravated and irritated red is more luxurious and mystical theres always something about it which just sends signals of romance and mystery ;-)

  10. Blue, more calming. Also I think that staring at a red wall for two hours straight would fry my optic nerves.

  11. blue cuz when i look at tha color blue it makez me feel at ease like calm like and besides i hate tha color red lol

  12. blue... otherwise i'd start seeing red LOL!

erm seriously, it would be blue.

i'd say blue conjures up feelings of calm, relaxation, tranquility etc. it is the color of the sea and sky and promotes restfulness. i have good associations with the color blue. it is a 'cool' color and gentle to the eyes and mind.

in contrast... the color red is associated with anger, danger, tension etc. red connotes heat and violence and is harder on the eyes and mind. i do not find red to be relaxing or reassuring, rather demanding, wearing, agitating.

these are of course generalizations and the circumstances and shades of the colors involved would also have to be taken into consideration. for example, if it was a really chilly day i might prefer to sit and look at a comforting warm red wall, rather than a hard cold unfriendly dark blue wall!

  13. Blue, seems it would be relaxing and remind me of the sea.  Calming effect.
