  1. Short life full of joy. What's the point of living without joy?

  2. Ultimately, I think this question translates into how afraid one is of death.

Some people are so afraid of dying that they would sacrifice everything to live forever and I think it takes a lot of courage to embrace it, even if the trade off is that you are permanently happy - it does come to mind that happiness is irrelevant when you're dead.

So I would choose to live joylessly forever, even though I would think that makes me morally inferior.

  3. that  question is older than the spoiled food in my freezer.

  4. A life without joy might seeeeem to go on forever while a life filled with joy goes by in a flash.  Still, I believe that my purpose here is to be so happy and appreciative of all that life has to offer -- that my joy spills out on those around me.  If I had no happiness, there would be no point to my life -- but of course, the only reason that I could be without happiness would be to so conduct my life that it had no purpose.

Life may turn out to be a journey to nowhere; so it only makes sense to enjoy the journey.  How?  By selecting a purpose and a central goal with some mini-goals along the way.  Joy comes with achieving the mini-goals and making progress toward one's purpose.

As we used to tell each other in university:  "I'm here for a good time; not a long time.

    :-)

  5. I would have a short life full of joy, and then die and have ever lasting life full of joy! (You never mentioned we couldn't have eternal happiness after death. ^_^ - Because The Lord says it will be!)

  6. Short life full of joy because then when I die I know I am dieing happy

  7. This is a very easy question to answer... coming from me.

I spent some... 30 years of my life being unhappy.  I was negative. I thought nothing in my life would change and I would live my life alone.  After a period between 1 - 2 years, I have found myself, and changed all that negativity into positive energy in my life.  I wake up each day with a great attitude, I enjoy each day. I am so grateful and thankful for all the wonderful people and things I get to experience in my life. I do not take things for granted anymore.  I am NOW living with that happiness, and all  I want to do is spread that joy with everyone I meet.

So, for me... I would choose that short life of happiness because it is so great to feel this way everyday!

Forever with no happiness must be a tortured life, and I would forgo forever any day, for happiness right here, right now.

    Thanks for reading!

  8. Who'd want to live forever if there's nothing worth living for?

I'd definitely choose a short life of joy.

Besides, I'd probably live a short life without happiness because I'd probably kill myself.  :P
