If you had to write a 5 entry Journal?

If you had to write a 5 journal entry on African kingdoms: Mali , Ghana , Zimbabwe , Swahili and Kongo. What would you write on them with having to give desciption of the landscaping and with their trades and beliefs?

I'd write them as journal entries but in a more fictional format. I'd learn about the five things i had to write about, and then I'd write hte entries in first person as a traveler who visited each country. So instead of just listing facts you can write as if you're there and make up anicdotes to describe what you saw, things you heard, conversations you had with people, and how you came to learn certain facts. Maybe you attended some religious type ceremony and got to learn about their beliefs and are now comparing them to your own, etc.

Alternatively, you can write as a person from each place. Either write as a student your age keeping a diary of their daily life and slip in information about the different places in stories or anicdotes the writer mentions, or you can write as someone from each country sending a letter to a pen pal in america. For each entry, write two short letters. One as the person from each african country, and one as the american student. Use this method to compare two different places and cultures. Have fun!
