If you had up to $50,000 to donate somewhere to help save the environment where would you donate it to?

so yeah. if you had between $15,000 - $50,000 to donate to any chairty, person, or general cause that would greatly benefit the environment, where or to whom would you donate it and why? [[what would you do with the money?]]

Well the environment does not need saving.

But there are organizations such as 4H that I used to belong to and they or at least the group I was with did a lot of tree planting.

Another thing is you know that with 4H the money will not go to support any political party. It will get spent doing what it is supposed to do. I would not trust green peace or the Sierra club.

I would donate it fish and game clubs many have fish hatcheries and are involved in game bird rearing(wild turkeys)and wild area rehabilitation there cost effectiveness is wonderful as most of the work is done by volunteers from the groups this is were you would get your biggest bang for the dollar.Many fish and game clubs have extensive youth programs to get young people out into the outdoors tree planting,stream rehabilitation,bush road clean ups,hiking trail maintenance.Some organization's have more red tape to blow the money on than actually goes to the cause.

if i would have many billions to donate i would do something to reduce pollution in china but with this little money i would hug down cell phone towers

Donate it to yourself and do the work yourself.   I can buy lots of trash bags to pick up litter with 50k.   Give it to a group to do it and someone will take a % of that for driving to the store to buy the bags.    Someone else will take a % for bookwork keeping track of who went to the store and how much they spent.   Another will want some for gas money for getting out to the site for picking up the trash.   Someone else will decide everyone needs a special shirt for volunteering.   Pretty soon your money has done almost nothing but pay for beuracracy.

I'm 11, I don't know many things, but I guess I would donate it to a cancer fund or Red Cross.
