You see it everywhere, people disrespecting and slagging off authorities, people rebelling against anything that would cause them to have order in there lives, kids ruling over parents, or parents abusing there power over there kids because they were raised that way and think its okay, people doll bludging or who are just plain disrespectful.

now im not generalising. i didnt say everyone, i know alot of great people, but you know the types im speaking of, and there are plenty of them..

my grandad was talking about it and he said it would be great if all the men went into the army for a few yrs, as it used to be just the way you would go...almost like finishing school, where you learned discipline, respect, routine. And the women, were taught values and how to be a beautiful lady and not a shameless hussy, by there mother and not the media.

He reckons if this was still the way things were, or if it was a law even.... people would shape up pretty quickly!

I think i agree.

what would you do to start the change?

  1. I do think it would be a good idea for a mandatory 1 year military service.  Other countries do this.

  2. It starts @home. How a parent teaches their children, how they were brought up etc.

A child could be abused as a child and as they grow up, the trend continues on their children and their childrens children and so on.......

I can only speak on how I raise my teenage son. I teach him to respect everyone in every aspect. Show him the right way.

My son is an excellent young adult. Makes excellent grades in school and very polite!

I put him on punishment once when he was 8y/o! That's all it took and the results were worth it.

When I was growing up, I got beatings from my parents, only because I was bad as h**l! But beating kids back in the 70s and 80s wasn't as intense as it is today. I wasn't abused just abused priviledges!

I had a great childhood and I try to pass that up bringing on my child!

We can't change people if that's what you are asking, they have to change on their own!
