  1. It's called SkypeIN.

You can get SkypeIN phone numbers for incoming calls in 20 countries around the world.

It cost $18/3months or $60/yr in USA.  And, if combined with SkypePro, you get 60% off SkyeIN numbers.

I have had SkypeIN in New Mexico and North Carolina USA area numbers.... it worked great for my family there to call me for free to Canada, or it can be forwarded to any PSTN number of your choice at CallOut rates.

You use SkypeOut to make calls to PSTN land phones.

SkypeOut costs 2.1 cent/min to over 30 countries and USA/Canada.

Or, With SkypePro you get unlimited calling to PSTN phones for $3/month.  And, this includes conference calling too.

Calls between Skype users is always free.

  2. You can call other people that have Skype and it won't cost anything. You can call land lines and cell phones and send text messages using Skype, too, but you have to buy credit from the skype website as that costs money. From what I've seen, it's not all that good value if you're making a domestic call. But, if you're making long distance and international calls it does help save quite a bit of money.

You can also use SkypeIN. That service gives you a number, like a regular phone number, that people can use to call you from their regular phone. It also has a voicemail service. Again, this costs.

  3. If you buy Skype out you'll be able to call anywhere, We have an unlimited SKype plan that gives us all US and Canada for $60 a year. We use it like a teen line and it works well. Skype has several types of plans available one of them should be good for you.
