If you have Time Warner Cable, are you satisfied?

All of my televisions keep pixelating almost twice a day. I called my local Time Warner Cable service provider and I had to speak with an incompetent automated voice machine for 5 minutes then had to wait 20 minutes to finally talk to a human being.

Also, my internet seems to be glitching every time my television does.

Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

  1. I had TWC and hated it with an undying passion!!!! It was always going pixely and a lot of the channels I paid for never ever came in and calling the service people was completely pointless. I switched over to Verizon FIOS the day it became available in the area and never looked back, it actually works properly.


  2. Once you get past the annoying automated voice...and answer a series of questions...they can do an area restart, which means that they refresh the service in your area...usually works well.

  4. Mine is fine, but remember it's really nothing to do with the company you are with, but more to do with crappy lines in your area.

    All the cable companies have crappy call center support, and all have customer areas where lots of people have problems with cable/internet.

    It's a pain in the butt to get to a real person (when you call is a big deal,  peak times can wait up to an hour sometimes), but when you do, make sure they are scheduled to check the signal both inside and outside at the cable drop to see where the problem is.

  8. I hate Time Warner!  I always had bad service with them.  Thankfully I now live somewhere that I can have a different cable provider.

  9. I have TWC in NYC and while I have had problems with it in the past, they were quick to fix them. I don't think any service can be 100% all of the time.

    You may need a new cable box or maybe the wire outside your house is not good (this was my problem and it was fixed as soon as the guy came and changed the connection. He came late in the day, saw the problem and said he did not have the part and would be back in the morning. True to his word, he was here the next freezing day in January at 7:30 am and got it done....can't complain about that!!)

    my parents keep saying we're gonna switch to something else and i recommend you switch to something else.
