Scenario: somebody calls my CG number; both my cell phone and home phone ring. I'm at work, with my cell phone. Can somebody at home hear the conversation at the same time? Or is it whoever picks it up first that gets the call?

  1. Whoever picks-up the call first gets the call.

All other phones stop ringing once the call is picked-up by one of your listed phones.  There is no further connection between the lines.

The "Listen-In" feature that GC is promoting only applies to you being allowed to "Listen-In" to the caller actively leaving a Voice-Mail to your GC account - this is so that you have the option to "screen" callers before answering, or if it is someone you don't want to talk to... just don't answer and let VoiceMail continue taking the call.

If two phones were able to take a call simultaneously, that would amount to "conferencing".  GC does not support conferencing.

I have recently tested this feature extensively with my own GrandCentral accounts.
