    Here, lemme 'splain.  The "or" is inclusive, not exclusive.

    You don't have anything else like it, so it's an odd.  It's the last remaining item of what once was a collection, so it's an end.  In a box of odds and ends, some of the things are odds, some of the things are ends, and some of the things are both.  The last one, because it's the last one, is always both.

    If you want to know whether the last one is an odd or an end, the answer is "yes".  If you want to know what to call the last thing, I'd suggest you call it an odd end.
