  1. count to 200 but had to only have mastered counting to 150

Do simple addition and subtraction problmes that usually involved figuring out the number and coloring a picture MOST of the time.

Shapes and sides and they were starting a very basic word problems.

Jan has 2 Red Apples and got 2 more how many does Jan have?

  2. It varies quite a bit from state to state.

Google your state's name and "kindergarten math."

You can also ask your child's school for this informantion.

  3. They should've learned how to count all the way to 100. I remember back in Kindergarden, I was one of the first kids to learn how to count that far. I was smart as a child.

  4. The first answer sounds right to me (having had two in kindergarten thus far) ... also they learned how to keep a record of counts through tallies, and compare two numbers up to at least ten (higher and lower) with many kids able to compare any two numbers up to 100.  They also knew all the basic shapes, and some kids were adding numbers to 20.  They also learned about place value up to 100.

  5. I taught Kindergarten for 2 years in the state of Virginia. By the end of the year all of my children could count to 100. They could put together and identify simple patterns (red, black, red, black) They could add and subtract with objects to 9 in front of them. (bear counters etc) My more advacned children could put together and identify more complex patterns. They could also add and subtract to 9 without objects. Hope this helps.

  6. kids don't really do math at that age. Its more about teaching the basics, numbers, colors, shapes, ABC's, hand writing (maybe) and simple patterns.
