does it indicate on your credit report that you are paying on it as agreed or does it stay as a collection until you pay it off completely?

  1. There is no real way to tell you how they will report it. They are free to report it accurately, but that isn't telling you much. That could mean still reporting it as an open collection or paying as agreed or whatever. They would be required to state something about your payments, which could be something as subtle as reducing the balance owed or throwing on a statement like "collection-paying" or something bland like that.

    It will most likely stay on your reports even after you pay it off completely. However, you may try to dispute it and have it removed, since they would have no compelling reason to answer a dispute.
