I'm going back to school tomorrow and my mum wont let me wear make up! i feel naked without it and i don't know what to do i am self conscious so please don't tell me to not disobey them and not wear it so how can i convince my mum to let me wear it to school? thanks again x

well i sugest you go sit down and have a talk with her and say that....'mum please can i wear make up to school...i jut want to wear them cuz i feel uncomfident my self and mum make up the only thing that boost my comfident up..(cry)' and just tell herhow you really feel make her feel guilty.

wellll...first??? what kind of make up???? does it mean using a ton of foundation and black eyes?? maybe you should convince her by using light make up, mascara and some nice blusher with little gloss.. and show her how pretty you look.. and if she still refuses then u can always have a pretty little make up bag with all the essentials!! wear it on when you get out, and don't forget your make-up remover..that can come handy before u come home to remove whats on your face ;)

Maybe tell her how you feel inside your heart? Because I remembered in middle school I kind of wanted to wear make-up but then my mom don't want me to because she thinks I should wear make-up till I hit high school. I pretty much agreed w/ my mom right there. I think wearing make-up should be in high school. Of course, I don't know what grade you are in but yeah. Maybe you could write a letter and give it to her of how you feel.

Why don't you show her something like true match minerals. Its a foundation but a light powder so it takes away shine and makes you look like your wearing make up a little bit but you don't need to be wearing make-up to school. You go there to learn. You also sound young, listen to your mum.

well u dont have to wear make up in school.. so when u go out with friends u could put make up and look different than usual .. thts what i do and its so much better .. :) .. or put make up on the last day of the week in school ..

ugh, you're so lucky you're just starting school. i started like four weeks ago. but maybe it would help if you put on what you would wear and showed it to her (be conservative w/ that though) so she wouldn't feel so apprehensive about it. if not, you can always go with the put it on at school option

my mom didn't let me wear makeup to school either so i started taking it to school with me and putting it on in the restroom when i got there. i would get some makeup removing wipes for after school.

Tell her how you feel and tell her you don't feel the same without it. Or you could put it on at school and make sure it's off before you come home. =)

Try to wear delicate make-up, mascara (maybe brown or grey if black would be too much) some transparent lip gloss and that's it, it should be fine with your mom, depends how old are you and if you are a girl

maybe try to compromise, if you wear your make up to look quite natural...like, brown mascara, powder and concealer, lip gloss, subtle eye shadow etc.....so you still look smart and appropriate but boosts your confidence a bit....i remember my dad doing the same thing to me, he didnt understand i wanted it to feel better about myself.

Hah yeah I say invest in some make-up remover and a mirror and just walk out of the house without any make-up, then put some on when you're a safe distance from home, then take it off again when school has finished. That is a win-win situation...until your school tells your mum that you are breaking the school rules and then she'll be proper pissed... :/

Also, I meant to add. There is a range of makeup called 'Barely There'. It is very subtle, and as its name implies, it isn't loud or gaudy, so won't attract too much attention, but the effect is quite dramatic!

The only problem is, I can't remember who makes it.

Heya. Well ask your mum if you can wear light shades that aren't too noticeable, like clear mascara and a peachy eyeshadow. That way you can still wear make up without over doing it:)

Oh, and you can get lip balm that has some colour in it (try nivea) which looks like a lip gloss on but is actually lip balm. You can wear this and your mum can't complain, because it's technically not make-up.
