If you have a long luteal phase will you ovulate earlier?

I am taking supplements to help lengthen my luteal phase, and I'm wondering if I have a longer luteal phase will I ovulate earlier?

Also, would this go for a woman who has a regular luteal phase, but would like to ouvlate earlier?

You would ovulate later because your cycle will be longer. For most women if they have a 28 day cycle they ovulate around day 14. If you lengthen your luteal phase you will ovulate later on, for every 2 days you add, add a day more to the day you will ovulate, if that makes sense. If you want to ovulate sooner than you need to shorten your phase. Nothing is concrete though, you need to be doing Ovulation Prediction Tests, Temping, or Charting to know when you are for sure ovulating.

Not necessarily, my luteal phase is always 17-18 days, but sometimes (with the help of clomid) I will ovulate on cd13 but sometimes on cd16, ovulation can varying (many factors affect ovulation) no matter what your luteal phase is, if you ovulate later then your whole cycle will just be longer.
