  1. According to the performance driving course I took...a car won't roll over sliding as long as the surface it's sliding on remains constant. They will only flip if the surface changes texture or elevation. Watch a NASCAR race and notice that those cars will not flip until they hit something else. As long as it stays on the track it will slide to a stop and not flip.

  2. Lowering the car does indeed help decrease the roll factor at higher speeds, because the higher your car sits the more top heavy it becomes. There are also other variables such as tires (width, sidewall strength) , springs, and wheelbase both length wise and width wise. Indy cars only sit a few inches off the ground.

  3. its in the center of gravity! not the low rider part...

  4. .

A low riding car will have less tendancy to flip due to a low centre of gravity.

That said, because your cornering speeds can be noticably higher, should your car be tripped by a raised obstruction because of the higher speeds the consequences are generally more severe.

  5. Yes you can just watch the NASCAR racing and you will see first hand.......
