this is most q***r: i have two healthy linden trees in my front yard. it has rained well this year. this is the only year since i can remember that the white flower buds did not open up to form flowers.

usually, they open on or about june 13 each year up here in chicago. all we got were a whitish-yellowish partially opened bud that never gave off its fragrance. i am very perplexed. numerous leaves are a dirty yellow. i have never seen this in 15 years.

is your honey bee count lower than in former years? are any of your other outdoor plants, flowering shrubs and bushes looking bad?

as you know, you can steep the green leaves of the linden tree to use as an excellent tea for a cold, and the flowers can be dried on the stalk upside down in order to make a tea for when you have the stomach flu.

if you did not get flowers, please tell me your geographical location and why you think you did not get a bloom this year. please name any other plants that have not been as usual

  1. In our region extensive use of pesticides are killing honeybees and reducing pollination of some trees and flowers.
