  1. I can't no. I have a short attention span. If you mean you, yes, you can. What was I saying?

  2. yes, you would just have to have a checkride in the individual plane

  3. A private pilot may operate a light sport aircraft.

    You need to have:

    1) Category and class ratings appropriate to the aircraft to be flown

    2) A current flight review (61.56)

Note: The flight review is not aircraft specific, but rather category and class specific.

    3) Recency of flight experience (if flying with a passenger)

You can even fly a light sport aircraft as a certified pilot even if your medical expires by using your drivers license and "self-certifying" that you are medically fit for flight, just like the light sport aircraft pilots are able to do!

  4. Yeah you can, the only other planes you need a licence for is commercial airlines and military crafts.

  5. Yes, a private pilot is qualified to fly light sport aircraft. In fact some light sport aircraft are simply traditional aircraft that met the qualifications, such as an aircoupe.

Light sport certificate holders can only fly day, VFR conditions, 3 miles visibility, outside of controlled airspace, unless they get an endorsement.

Plan on getting a private pilot license, its only going to be a little more time and money. The sport pilot rating only, makes sense if you cannot pass a FAA medical exam.
