If you have a really, really tight innie can you still get a navel piercing?

I know that may be a silly question to ask, but i'm really not sure.

I want a belly button piercing so badly, but i have looked closely at my belly button and realized that it is quite tight. I think it had something to do with the umbilical cord, or something.

I'm a little worried that i might not be able to get a TOP NAVEL piercing because the skin on that area is tight. And that's not cool, because i really want one there. I prefer it over the lower navel piercings that some people have.

Also with this tight skin are, could I atleast get a lower navel piercing, for a second option?

If you have a decent ridge above your belly button, chances are you will be able to have it pierced. People with flat navels are more likely to have problems with them. Your best bet is to go visit a piercer who will be able to take a look and let you know for sure.

Yeah the best thing to do is see what the piercer says! You should be ok, I have a friend whose belly button is level with her stomach and she still has a bar through the top :)

Go to the piercing place and ask them.  You'll get safer advice :)
