  1. On my right wrist it says "Resist" on my left it says "Exist" It's always been my motto.. Resist to exist. If you're asking for suggestion I highly suggest you don't get the tattoo. Before getting a tattoo there should be a long period of thought process. After all it's going to be on you forever. Think about placement, what it is. Maybe you should have something with a symbolic meaning, of something significant in your life so you know you won't regret it. Don't just get some lame design that you're only going to like for a few years. Be smart about it. And I'm pretty sure you can get a tattoo with parental consent. Good luck

  2. If you aren't SURE what you want, then don't get one yet. Tattoos are FOREVER..unless you can afford the painful laser removal..and make sure you're going to be comfortable with the idea of having to conceal it once you enter the workforce...most professional jobs call tattoos below a short sleeve "job stoppers"

  3. Choose something that has meaning to you, not just something that you think is cute or cool.  What are you hobbies?  What kind of phrases mean alot to you?  Is there a motto you live by?

My wrist tattoo is a simple outline of a star.  I know it doesn't seem like much, and many people have star tattoos because it's "cool" but it actually has alot of meaning behind it.

I've wanted a star on my wrist ever since my older cousin got hers done, I was about 14 at the time.  Of course I had to wait until I was 18, and even then I wasn't ready to get it.  When I was 20 I went to Mississippi to help rebuild homes lost to Hurrican Katrina, and somehow during the week we discussed tattoos and ones that we have or want.  It was one of the greatest experiences of my life, so when I got back home I went and had the star done.  The picture itself isn't much, it's more like the timing.  I have it to remind me of that week and my experiences.  Sort of like a souvenir.

Sorry I can't help you with the parental consent.  Some places will allow you, some absolutely won't until you are 18.  Just make sure they are clean and use new equipment.

  4. If you get a tattoo you should get it because you want THAT tattoo not because you want A tattoo.  I agree completely with Angela, you need to think this through for a while before getting it.  I made sure I wanted my tattoos very badly before I got any of them.

My wrist tattoo says 'lieb mich', it's german for 'love me'.

  5. Pick something that means a lot to you. After I get my next tattoo on my forearm I'm getting love and respect. Love on the right , respect on the left. You could also get like a star, sun and moon. Theres millions of possibilities. I think every state will allow you to get a tattoo at 16 with a parents consent. If you were wondering about getting one without I dont advise it. Those places are usually dirty.
