  1. No you do not need an ipod to get an iphone. the iphone is just a mac phone. thats why there's and "i" before it. Its more of a trademarked thing...

    im pretty sure people probably had theyre ipod before they got they're iphone which is due to them having both

    becuz a person wood have to be stupid to go out and buy an ipod on top the the iphone you purchases,,mainly for just one small reason

    THE IPHONE HAS A MUSIC PLAYER ON IT!!! CALLED IPOD!!! good job tho
