This might seem like a silly question but I was just wondering. Seven years ago when I was with my ex I became pregnant. We had been together about a year without using contreception before this actually happend. I ended up having a miscarriage after only seven weeks and it was very hard on me. That relationship ended and now I am with my current fiance and we are both very excited to have children. I found out by chance that I wasn't ovulating so my Doctor put me on Clomid (100mg) and I have been charting and using OPK's so that we have a better chance at conceiving. We have been actively trying for about six months now but without any luck. I was just wondering if I have been pregnant before is this a good indication that I can become pregnant again or is that even a factor? It has been seven years so maybe my body has changed? Even though it took a year in the past to become pregnanat I guess I just figure with the added assistance of the Clomid and OPK's and etc. it would happen much quicker this time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated on this. Also I don't know if this makes a difference but I was 21 when I became pregnant before and I'm about to turn 29 in October. Thank you again for your help!

  1. Hi Mel,

I'd like to let you know that there's still hope for you to conceive at your age, even though you had a miserable miscarriage before. Scientic advancement has provened that couples are still able to bear children and It really depends on how closely you follow the proven methods. I've come across a website recently and it provides a one-stop info with regards to pre- and post-pregnancy. Hope it helps you and your husband a lot. I give you all my blessings!

  2. relax and don't put so much anxiety on urself, you are  still very young and will make. to some people it happens like that while some just get it any time they want it. it took my sister 3 yrs to  have her 1st, and the 2nd 8yrs .

  3. you're still really young so i don't think there's anything to worry about. i've been ttc for 6 months and i'm in my early 20's!

being pregnant once can be a factor although it has been known that some couples have trouble.

go and see your dr, they may get your partner's sperm checked. good luck!
