  3. No, but even before I had them I didn't do that.

    Although I chew with my mouth open when I'm chewing gum. It's always been a habit.

  5. lol!! no, you don't chew with your mouth open. I suppose if you've just gotten the braces on or if you've just gotten them tightened, it may hurt to chew with your mouth completely closed...so just don't go in public for awhile when you have to eat.

    But in general, no, you chew like normal.
