If so, will the Zenith DTT901 give us all the dish channels or do we need a different one?

  1. no

  2. Dish satellite TV signals have always been digital. There is a (satellite only) converter built into the receiver that changes them to analog so older TVs can understand them.

Converters like the Zenith only work with over the air TV digital (ATSC) signals and do not work with and have nothing to do with satellite TV signals.

The question is, do you get your local channels through the Dish satellite or through an antenna? If you get them with an antenna,  you need something with a Digital ATSC tuner to keep seeing them after the 2/2009 over the air analog shutdown.

The ATSC tuner could be a converter box, a newer TV with a digital (ATSC) tuner built in, or a satellite receiver that also has a ATSC tuner built into it.
