  1. It depends upon where you are leaving from and where you are going.  Accidents can happen anywhere, even crossing the street once you get to your destination.  By boat, do you mean a cruise?  Not many boats go from point A to point B. They usually have a return cruise rather than you going to a destination  to visit or stay.

Airplanes will take you from Point A to Point B and return. The safety is as good as possible, but the time to get to the check in and then on to the plane and the hours to get to your destination, and then from airport to where ever you are going, takes loads of time.  Weather doesn't play into a plane trip right now, because most of the terrible weather is gone. But check your weather conditions before making a decision on the destination website.

As to safety .... both have good and bad things about them. It really is up to you, because again, the boat trip isn't a consideration as to getting somewhere; how about a train, such as in California, the Am track system.

Safety....focus on how much fun you will have when you get to where you are going.  Don't let fear keep you from doing anything especially seeing the country.

Whichever you choose, check the website of the company as to their safety records.   Have fun.

  2. Well, I'm still alive, so I must say both are equally safe from my experience.

  3. Speaking from my knowledge of lots of travelling planes are the best and safest way of getting around as you arrive nice and relaxed with a lot more time to spend at your new location, definately a lot quicker.

  4. Boat cause I can always swim better than I could fly. :)
