If you have ever been on depo pls help!!!!?

I have only had one shot how long could it be til I get pregnant the shot is done sept. 3. Pls if you have been on depo how long did it take you to get pregnant.

Yah i was on depo after my first child, it sucked because it caused me to have water retention which made me gain ALOT of weight really quickly!

The depo shot lasts for 3 months so if you had it on sept 3 then it should be wearing off around december 3 so anytime after that you should be able to fall pregnant.

well i had had about 6 shots of provera and havent had any for 19 months and im still trying to concieve but coz you only had one it shouldnt take to long.

It can take up to a year after taking depo provera to get pregnant. I have been on the shot for 9 months, years ago, I was not trying to get pregnant. But it took 6 months just to get my periods back. And many more months before it got out of my system. Good luck and baby dust, tho. Everyone's different.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't depo PREVENT pregnancy??

it takes a few months for the shot to wear off, so it could be 6 months or so before you conceive, hopefully is less for you! you can also ask a doctor online for free for advice and find others in the same situation, try fertilityties.com

It can take up to a year for it to get out of your system but you have not been on it for very long so I probably won't be that long... sometimes it just takes a long time to become pregnant.  Good luck!

I had one shot of deprovera in november 2002, i bled continuously between january 2003 to december 2003. I have 1 daughter that was conceived april 2005.

the depo shot can cause fertility problems and some research suggest that women who plan on using this method of BC should already be mothers or have no intention of pregnancy in the near future.

The hormones in the depo shot are used to 'chemically castrate' male s*x offenders in prison, in certain countries so the drug has controversy surrounding it.

i would suggest you do not have another shot. Allow 18 months to 2 years to conceive as this is the average length of time it takes women to regain fertility after deprovera.some women have little or no problems conceiving after it though, hopefully you will be one of them.

Honestly I was not trying but I got pregnant around a year later.  So I know it is not the answer you are looking for but atleast you know you might be okay in a year.

about fertility problems---I've had 3 pregnancies since I've been off Depo so I don't think I have any.
