  1. - Parents played too much of a role in the party and tried to socialize with friends via awkward conversation.

    - No variety of music...(all rap, all rock, all pop...no reprieve).

    - Abnoxious siblings interfering with party.

    - Inadequate amount of food (two bowls of chips and 12 cans of Coke for 30 people)

  2. make it simple...

    easy....

    enjoy your time....

I have not yet tried a graduation party anyway :)

  3. Mine was for a highschool gaduation there was a d.j. alot of alcohol!!! alot of people. Make sure there is a d.j. or music (a loud stero with pleanty of cd's).

  4. I was at a graduation party where they had a very cleaver idea to decrease drinking.  They ordered a slushie machine and most of the people were drinking slushies and weren't upset that they weren't allowed to drink.

  5. Don't schedule it before most schools are out. No one could come to mine because they were still finishing up and had busy schedules. Especially because several of my friends were teachers.

  6. YES and YES!

DON'T get drunk and throw up on your Best Friend!  (My friend threw up on me!  yuck!!)

  7. Do's( These are kinda obvious)

-Make sure there's food, because c'mon, who doesn't love food?

    - have your yearbook out so all your guest can sign it

-make sure your friends (or other family members) arn't planing a party around the same time

-make sure you send thank you notes, because some ppl give a nice amount of cash!

dont's-forget to send invations out early!

  8. If you drink too much, make sure you don't start stripping in front of your family.

  9. dont:

forget people on your invite list

    expect too many gifts

    under estimate number of guests

    have it last too long

  10. Don'ts:

    Not enough Food

Not enough variation of food that everyone will like

    Not enough drinks

Alcohol (can be bad if there are a lot of underage present)

    Don't forget to clean

Don't forget to have a backup plan if it's an outdoor party--in case there is rain/lots of wind.

    Do's:

Big Cake - with butter creme frosting.

Greet everyone who shows up. They are there to see you, you should acknowledge that they took time out of their day to come see you on your big day.

Shrimp cocktail. Everyone will love it.

    Lemonade.
