If you have ever used the peel & stick tiles for your floor... what do you think of them?

Do they work well?

Did you have a problem with them coming up or shifting?

If we use them, we are going to be applying them to linolium floor... What is the best way to apply them? Should we sand the floor first? Should we use extra adhesive?

  1. just get real tile that's all i have to say!

  2. I like them is long that you apply proper pressure when you install them ,make sure that the floor is very clean otherwise it will show little bumps under the tiles and the seal will not be proper. , sweep and wash and let dry the floor before applying applying them.

Remove the old flooring is you can it all depends what's underneath , if the old flooring has some tear and bumps it will show trough the tiles , use you own judgement on that one ,since I cannot see the floor .

  3. they tend to capture dirt in the seams, and never look clean, they are only good for a temporary floor because they tend to loosen over time and water and dirt get under, then you have to start over.

  4. My mom used those kind of tiles on my freinds house and they work great. They stay down fine just step on them after you put a few down. plus they make tiling so much easier!

  5. I put them down on existing tiles, used no other adhesive and did not sand first.

They do have a tendency to slide around, unless the edge tiles butt up against something solid.  I didn't do it, and had to remove the molding and put down a bead of silicone caulk.  That stopped them.  if I do it again, I will use the tiles with a beveled edge.  Makes for better looking seams.

  6. I put some down 3 yrs ago, these were not cheap ones, they shift and delaminate. I am replacing them with allure flooring. I do not advise you use them.
