  1. it really depends on you do you like modern or classic are you a bold person or a softer color person

  2. Since the bed is blue the make th walls blue. In a room, you should match things. It doesn't have to be one shade of blue though. You can get any shade.

  3. Here are a few options for the walls:

-The turquoise in the bed, but the lighter one because dark walls will make your entire room look darker.

-The lighter blue in your bedspread would look nice.

-You could do walls both colors and paint three walls the lighter turquoise and one darker. Then cover the darker one with framed pictures

    For the furniture:

Pick brown or black, and get the bases for lamp shades, curtains, and things like that in the brown/black that you choose. Your lampshades could also be white or have blue designs. Consider doing blue and yellow, and blue and green maybe just to keep things from being so nauseatingly blue.

Get sort of a modern looking rug like this http://www.aspencarpetdesigns.com/Mid_Ce... or this http://bothhands.mu.nu/archives/New%20Ru... but obviously different colors and brands. Or you could get a fun texture instead of a fun pattern, but if you do then it should be a solid colored rug.

    Hope your room looks great!

  4. There are so many shades of blue in there that you could just pick the one you like the best and it would go for the walls.  But don't get one too dark because it will make your room appear dark even with the lights on.  But if you go to a painting store like sherwin-williams or benjamin moore, you can find the dark color you like and look at some lighter shades of it.  Also, if you added maybe lime green pillows to the bedding, then you could paint the walls lime green.  Or orange I think would look good with that bedding.  To make it more fun, add lamps and rugs and stuff that are all different shades of blue to tie in with the whole bedspread.  But I would get solid blue sheets and pillow cases that were the same color. Go to www.sherwin.com/visualizer or www.benjaminmoore.com to find good paint colors.

Here are some other things I found for your room that would match really well.

    lamps:

  5. You have two choices.   Either pick a light shade of the blue in the comforter, or go with a contrasting color, like light pink or light yellow to paint the walls.

Keep the lines of the lamp simple and clean (in other words, don't buy an ornate shaped lamp to go with the very simple lines of the comforter).

Take the darkest blue color and find a solid rug in that color.

As long as you don't have too many items with patters on them, the room will not look too "busy".   Overall, have fun!
