  1. I have three cats and use a Clorox Ready Mop... I use handmade cotton crocheted pads for it, so after I mop once, I throw the pad in the washing machine and use it again.  Works really well!

  2. I've had a puppy about 4 weeks and already need to change my broom and dustpan brush, cos she chews it lol. She's totally destroyed the dust pan brush. I think you mean this question in a different sense though, how often to replace them after cleaning up after animals?

  3. A mop... maybe about every month. We actually prefer using those Swiffer or Orange Clean mops --  the mop part of the swiffer is disposable, and the mop of the orange clean is cloth and washable. I recommend either of those :)

As for a broom -- well, until it lasts. We clean them every so often. Sometimes I'll take a vacuum and vacuum the bristles, but you can do that and maybe soak the broom in vinegar?

    Good luck.
