I used to have iron deficiency anemia so my doctor told me to take iron supplements. After my last blood exams he only told me that I had low iron. Does this mean I'm still anemic?

  1. I guess you should ask your physician that question.

But low iron could mean your still within the normal scale, just low, not too low.

  2. You sound like you are still iron deficient.  Keep taking the iron pills.  It can take months for your iron levels to get high enough to make you feel better.  Keep getting your ferritin/iron levels checked and ask your doctor what the normal range is so that you know where you are within that range.  You need a sufficient amount of iron in your blood to transport oxygen to your organs etc, especially your heart and brain.

  3. ask ur doctor itself taht is better
