  1. Negativity can have its knock on effect as it can lower spirits and even make one depressed.  I have negative thoughts but usually try to tuck them away where they cannot bring me down.

  2. I don't think there is really a direct connect between our thoughts and what happens to us, or we'd not live past a young age.  That is, a lot more injuring and destructive things would happen.  (And I would apply this to the Secret, on the positive side, too.  It's just a rehash of several similar schemes that teach if you do your positive affirmations and believe them, etc. good things will come.)

What I do think is that negative thoughts can program us to view things negatively and make negative choices.

On the other hand, to me, there is something to faith. To me, personally, faith is very important. This is from a Christian theological perspective.  Jesus maintained that if you believe something in your heart and not doubt, it will happen.  It is that "not doubting" that's tricky!

  3. You feel the way you think! If you think about being sick, disliked, ugly, you are going of feel bad. So it stands to reason that if you think positive you are going to feel better.

As for "they say that to make you think positive." who? An it is your choice how you think and how you feel.

I hope you want to think positive and feel good. But it is your choice.

  4. Sometimes your negative energy attracts negative energy. Whenever I feel that I've hit rock bottom bad situations or issues seem to get worse. Contrary, when I feel like I'm on the top of the world, my positive energy spreads out and surges through my body. This energy seems to attract more positive energy thus making good things happen in my life. I am a true believer in both positive and negative energy. Use it to the best of your abilities or lose it to losing circumstances.

  5. Yes and no.

No, when you worry whether e.g. your loved ones will be ok that does NOT make them have accidents.

Yes, when you have a negative outlook on life you tend to subconsciously make this happen. If you never expect to get something or that you deserve it you will never take the steps that will lead to your own happiness!

And also, you tend to focus on the negative things as well. Like thinking all the time "I never get compliments, she always does" or "I always end up being hurt in love" or "I always queue at the slowest line of people in the supermarket..." etc.

So thinking positive can only BE positive for you in my opinion.
