  1. yes he can get lice.

lice change color to blend in with the color of the person head they are on so keep your son away from the lice as much as possible because having lice is a real pain.

  2. Yes because lice do not just infest the head, they also infest the body...especially warm moist areas...

  3. just because your baby was in contact with someone who has head lice doesn't neccessary mean your child will catch head lice.

We have had many outbreaks in our school and daycare centers but, luckily my kids have never caught them.

My neighbor has 3 girls and 1 contated lice and the others were clean.

As long as your child wasn't sharing a pillow or bedding or hat, brush with the infested child you have very little to worry about. lice to don't jump like fleas.

At least if your child does get lice it will be easy to see and treat because your son doesn't have much hair.

  4. if he has any hair at all he can

  5. Possible and as someone else said, easy to treat if he does.

That said, I would be VERY cautious of treating him wiht anything you get from the store as it will be laced with chemicals.  Frankly I would not use the store bought stuff on anyone no matter what age.

Wiht a 19 month old's fine hair, you will need a special niot comb to comb through it as well adn the ones in thestore will likely have the teeth too far apart to work on his hair.

There is a brand called NitFree that has a very good nit comb and some natural lice treatment as well.

you may want to mention this to your sister in law and have something on hand for the inevitable as well.  1 in 10 kids has head lice at any given time!
