Invite everyone one of my family members for a BBQ and just talk about old times and make sure they all knew how much I loved them and would miss them until it was their time to move to the after life.

Not exactly a shoe in for anything magical happening for me when I die. And with only one day to spend...I'd spend it not in spiritual pursuit but with carnal pleasure instead. After all, I had an entire lifetime to adorn my soul with ornaments. I'd go with Hookers and Blow.

well, i'll stay inside the church the whole morning... then spend all my money giving food to the poor.. then when the night comes, i'll eat dinner with my family, laugh hard and say the words i haven't told them before... and lastly, before i go to bed, call someone and say thank you..

I'd ask one of my friends to bring me over a form for a will.  Mine needs updating.  Then I'd invite my other friends over to eat and drink whatever I want (no more hassles about how it's not good for me), and tell them to take home one of my books or DVDs or nick-knacks to remember me by.  In other words, I'd face it much like Socrates is said to have done.
