I just ordered a ticket for my grandma, to go back to Mexico for tomorrow.

After I entered the billing card payment, then submit it gave me a review such as flight number, from and to, name, date, time, and the reservation code.

Before that I had entered my email, shouldn't I get something in my inbox with more information? Or with this paper showing the reservation code is enough? Its basically just one paper.

  1. I formerly worked for a travel website and this was a common question.

You should receive a confirmation e-mail containing your itinerary and the price of the ticket. However, there are reasons why customers don't receive them.

The usual reason is that the e-mail was caught by a spam filter. It may be a filter that you Internet service provider uses or it could be one on your computer, if you have a spam filter. We occasionally also had customers make typographical errors when entering their e-mail addresses. The messages would be sent back to us as undeliverable.

If you have a spam filter, be sure that it is set to accept messages from this airline. Then, call the airline and ask them to resend it. Also, verify with them that they have your correct address in their system.

If all else fails, don't worry about it. If you're flying on e-tickets, then you don't need anything on paper. The confirmation e-mail is just a convenience. The airline can find your reservation using the confirmation number. If you lose that, they can look it up using your name and flight number.
