If you have rubber bands on your brace or had rubber bands on your braces please answer!?

I am getting braces and Dr.Niles (my orthodonices) said I need rubber bands. My friend had them and said they suck. I want to now what other people think so I know what to exspect.

  1. they are for your overbite and positioning your jaw line. i have them for over 2 months now it hurts for the 1st 2 or 3 days but then you dont feel anything. as long as you wear them everyday they wont hurt:)
