If you have smoked weed, but don't any on you can you still be arrested and charged with weed (anything)?

Say you finished smoking week in Virginia and you finished smoking but have no weed on you at all. Can you still be arrested? if so for what? could it be for weed? If you are driving in a car and i smells like weed but there is no weed or weed paraphernalia could you be charged with anything? thank you

If they smell it and don't find anything you will get a lesser charge but you will most likely get something like a DWI, but for drugs instead of alcohol.  You just won't have a possession charge.

Yes, you can still be arrested. When you're high, it's basically the same thing as being drunk. You're senses are severely cut, and your judgement is pretty much dead. It's considered driving under the influence (of an illegal substance), and you wil still be punished as if you were drunk.

The best thing to do for yourself is never smoke the stuff again.
