If you have two different sizes of golf balls (one's larger than the other),which ball will go higher? explain

i REALLY need help.......i need to know which out of the two balls will go higher and why.Explain.

  1. The smaller ball will fly higher due to less resistance. A bigger ball has more matter that gets resisted by the air. A smaller ball is less affected by the wind. This is only true if they are the same weight though. If the bigger ball were heavier, it would go farther. It is Mass x Velocity x Gravitational pull.


  2. The smaller ball will fly higher and farther, all other things being constant, such as number and shape of dimples, and the materials used in the balls, as well as the number of layers, etc.

    However, I don't know where you're going to find a smaller ball, since virtually all golf balls sold in the US are of a standard size, as dictated by the USGA and the R&A, the two governing bodies of golf. The standard is 1.68 inches.
