i want to get my bellybutton ring and i was just wondering how common is an infection and how bad can it get..if it does get infected what do you have to do

mine didnt get infected at all   i used antibacterial body soap to clean it while showering and i kept myself from touching it as much as possible because thats how most people get the infections to begin with   sometimes if it gets bad enough i think a doctor has to remove it for you or something like that but i say get it just dont touch it till it heals and even after it heals still try not to touch it alot and wash  your hands before changing it.  :)

I've had my belly button pierced for years. It only got infected one time when it got stuck on something and pulled a little. The only thing you should do is make sure to clean it daily with alcohol/ peroxide or ear piercing cleaner

mine has gotten infected about 5 times.

but i have had it for about 7 yrs....

it only happens when it gets pulled on something or gets irritated from being touched alot.

it does leave a hole though.

even when you take it out for good.
