If you have your car broken into and a window broken, Do you have to report it to your insurance company?

I was wondering if you legally have to report it. I think that paying to fix it myself is less than my deductible.

  2. The same thing happened to my boyfriend a few months ago.  And he did not report it for the same reason, the cost to fix it was less than his deductible.  So, no, you do not need to report it to your insurance.  Good Luck!

  4. In the UK you are meant to report it to your insurance company even if you don't claim, no one does however as even if you don't claim it increases the risk and they will increase your premiums.
