  1. A GED (General Education Diploma) in generally issued to those who have completed the required courses and credits for graduation instead of a formal diploma from a school. Go to the Guidance Counselor at the high school and ask him/her about it. They will be able to give you the current school board district policy for the situation.

  2. If you have received your GED, you're done.  Go on to college or trade school or get a job.  Congratulations, you're an adult!

  3. If you have your GED, you can not go to high school to graduate.   A GED is a certificate issued as an alternative to a high school diploma, you do not get both.  You are considered to have already completed your high school level education.

  4. If you have your GED, it's considered the same level as a high school diploma.  That would be like going back to high school after you graduate.  If you've got your GED, you're considered ready for college.

You can take part in a homeschool graduation, though.  Groups all over the country have them every year.  You can also have your own grad celebration.

  5. It differs from state to state and then from there from district to district.  Where we are you can.  The child would have to take a placement test to ensure that they are placed properly.  Contact your local school board and see what is required.
