If you have your own Bakery and Grocery??

What added product features and benefits will you recommend or what current product features and benefits would you want emphasized? are there other product offering can you recommend to complement the bakery and grocery business? what are this?

For the bakery I will bake all the traditional goodies like buns etc, cakes etc. but I will make a section for health bread, low GI bread, organic bread and buns. Bread for diabetics or people with gluten intolerance. I think there is a big market for that out there and no or hardly any supply.

For the grocery store I will put a leaflet at the cashier and ask the customers to recommend what they need in the store that I do not supply. eg. special baby milk or fruit that they want. I will also have a section for organic food. Further will I scan the customers eg. if I have a lot of chinese customers I will make sure that I keep the fruit, food and veggies that they prefer, the same with Jewish customers, Kosher food for them or Islamic customers Halaal food for them. I think it is all service. I will also try and buildt a special relationship with all my customers and make secret notes so that I remember all their details, eg. this one had a baby or that ones husband died etc. I will also sponsor the local school in the area eg. muffins once a month for the teachers etc. Once a week I will give pensioners a special discount eg. on a Tuesday it is pensioners day and then they get 5% discount. I think the big supermarkets these days have lost the special relationship with their customers the little shops had 40 years agol
