  1. No, unless they bleed to death.

The stuff about "ramming the bones up through the brain" is pure c**p. The bones (what few there are) are small and fragile, and the brainpan is thick.

  2. If you hit a person in the nose with the palm of your hand straight up the nose, the chance of it happening are extremely likely, as the bones in the nose break and get rammed up into the brain causing severe damage.

if you hit some one straight in the nose, itll probably cause a broken nose and bleeding.

  3. I don't think that's proper etiquette.  :  (

  4. You can kill someone that way, but you HAVE TO have an open palm, and thrust with all your strength, and hit them from underneath the bridge of their nose.  ...That way, you cause the nose bones to break and be shoved up into puncturing the person's brain.

EDIT:  Haha...I just read the 2nd persons answer.  We are both correct.

  5. you can kill them but definitely not easily. if you are a regular person, you probably do not have the strength to hit someone at this weird angle and kill them.

  6. I don't think so man, if you want to know some basic stuff about close combat though check out this site, I'm not advertising, I'm just suggesting.

  7. No, bones from the nose WILL NOT go up into the brain. That's a myth. The dude that said that watches too many Chuck Norris movies.

A broken nose and perhaps a concussion would be the only result.

  8. It's possible, because if you hit them hard enough you can cause possible brain damage, head trauma and the like, which could be lethal if they don't get medical attention. But again, you have to hit them pretty hard for that to happen, so I wouldn't call that "easily".

Also, there's a whole host of other, non-lethal unpleasantness that can happen, including breaking their nose, fracture, nerve damage, etc.

The idea that there's a bone that can go into their brain is a myth...you don't have any large, potruding bones in your nose at all.

But still, unless it's self defense, I wouldn't advise going around hitting people in their noses. It's not very nice.
