  1. Same rights, obviously. Why wouldn't they?

  2. They would sure have the same rights as the original, why they shouldn't have? They are 100% biology the same as you doesn't mean they are less of a human. Indeed they would have a soul of their own so they are also human.

  3. they would still be people

  4. It's actually a very complicated domain...

My opinion about this is variable according to some "variables".

I say that if the clone hasn't the same mental capacities that the "original", he should be treated as inferior, and he could be a source for organ transplanting, like in the movie "The Island"... But, if the clone has the same mental capacities that the "original", it should be recognized as a person and have the same rights as a person.

The parents of the clone, actually, should be the "original" because it's actually the same DNA.

  5. I would say different possible culture in the future will treat this matter differently.

In some culture, the clones will have the same right like children. In other they may compete with the original. The other may treat them as inferiors or slave.

More strange there will be cultures that allow selling cloned meats, or some may also develop a new way of eating called autophagy. Which basically eating one's own clone.
